Ursa Minor I love the raw, not too polished vibe of Zopa. It sounds great but it feels very human. I also love that certain songs have a spiritual aspect to them. Can't wait to hear more of them and I hope I can catch them live at some point! Favorite track: Here Comes Disaster.

frank_taylor39 Loved the whole album. Glad I'm finding some authentic sounding music in a world full of copy and paste.

richarddiaztutor Deep, heartfelt lyrics and singing.
Zopa is a kick ass power trio that has beautiful soaring melodies as well. Dig it. Favorite track: It's Not Real.

tfeggers01 I’ve been on a Sopranos bender; bingeing on the show, podcast, Michael’s book and finally his music. I really like this album. It reminds me of LES in the late 70’s.

For the last time Here to take his vows Not to pull apart All that heaven allows Not to steer off course Not to lose the keys Never criticize or gossip When things are different to me I had no idea how much you love what follows you Or more what’s left behind Show the nature of our minds Let me walk one step to the left, in the back, It’s the truth I lack You are all…. For the last time Here to take his vows Not to leave this earth Until the last one gets out Not the ones above us Or in the hells below Not without the animals Or without the hungry ghosts I had no idea how much you love what follows you Or more what’s left behind Show the nature of our minds Let me walk one step to the left, in the back, It’s the truth I lack You are all….

All their hope was gone Until they found your grace In the skies over Omaha The light shown on their face And always waited for some sign or A display of might Always knew that someday, somewhere You would make the day from the night Till I find your grace… And it worked like a charm before I stand and knock outside your door Oh no, you never did nothing wrong Pure, clean like the day is long She trampled hallowed ground And turned away from grace No matter lost nor found Or even win, show, nor place What always looks like diamonds Ends up being dust What always seems like maybe Ends up being just what I must Till I find your grace… And it worked like a charm before I stand and knock outside your door Oh no, you never did nothing wrong Pure, clean like the day is long (The ropes that bind are only ropes of sand) I would like to know you better After I get through with you You’ll be torn to tiny pieces

Cool your jets Hedge your bets The night is young my child Said the man on the left to the woman wearing white Well I’ve been impressed By your dress and By your virtue And by the way you held yourself composed all night Under duress, I suggest An ulterior motive Surely you can’t be surprised, cause it was written past long But although I know How your garden grows And what you tend to there By the nightfall you’ll be bringing out your dead And while they praise you and you wear your blue Your doubt is true, shakes you at your core And the sick lay across your floor But I guess you’re always gonna know better So cool your jets I suggest You better abandon Any last remains of hope which linger in your heart Maybe it’s good that it seems so impossible Cause if it was easy would they line up out your door? Would they be channeling the Metatrons or Michaels? Would he ever put a Prema Agni in your hand? Let me bust the walls keeping the light from view Wipe away the old to make way for the new Build a statue golden all for you And cool your jets, cool your jets, cool your jets….

When the final flames They have burned themselves out And the little smoke spirals away I don’t want to be alone And with no choice at all Give me light Show me the way Better off if you sit awhile Take a walk round and round Place your hands one by one on the floor Your head on the ground It’s not real But it hurts all the same And on the second day When all the voices seem so loud I’ve got to run away both from the quiet and from the crowd I don’t want to be alone And with no choice at all Give me light Show me the way Better off if you sit awhile Take a walk round and round Place your hands one by one on the floor Your head on the ground It’s not real But it hurts all the same

She don’t ever have to bother with that We’ll deal, we’ll sweep it ‘neath the stairs She don’t ever need to worry about him He’ll kneel, the pictures’ll do him in Only ties him up, walks the dog In rags Only wires him, props him up He stands Everytime she thought she had him worked out He rose, wrapped up in rubber hose Everytime she must have bought some black tape He froze, in his tracks he froze Electric fingers with a hood on your head In pink In pink Get ‘em walking, get ‘em all in line Now climb Don’t forget to smile I’m so tired Of this whole fucking deal All your sins reek to high heaven Never soon enough for me Not soon enough, never for me Don’t be alarmed you see it’s all in fun All’s fair, all is fair What would you really rather them do? Come here? Not here! Not here! Read you, write you, erase you Then she sends you home...where’s home? Now you’ve seen it, now it’s what you’ll do Then your friends, your mother, the children too Do it right here up and down your street, my sweet, you’re so so sweet So convenient you live so close, you’re gonna overdose So convenient you live so close, you’re gonna overdose

Used to rely on the seasons and the sky to protect him Without a care in the world or a dollar in his pocket towards redemption You would always say: you’d be leaving here soon enough anway How was I to know how true your words would be? Johnny don’t you know, how far and fast it seems we roam Especially a shame, to brush it all away Back to the breath Breathe in the black Let out the blue He liked to ride a roller coaster And I burn all your letters in the sand… Who are we to say: you’d be better off being with us today? I don’t have the right to go and make that call, no...but- Johnny don’t you know, it’s not the grasping it’s all in the letting go Well what did you expect, when you called her that she’d tell that she loved you? Back to the breath Breathe in the black Let out the blue He liked to ride a roller coaster And I burn all your letters in the sand… Used to rely on the seasons and the sky to protect him Without a care in the world or a dollar in his pocket towards redemption Thank God you never saw how she stood on the corner all alone Waiting half the night for some stranger to take her home Back to the breath Breathe in the black Let out the blue He liked to ride a roller coaster And I burn all your letters in the sand…

Gone. Are rocket ships and paper hats Your little yellow table And your star barettes Staring out your window In your baggy pants Held together by some chains Song and dance And your solution Is it one right between the eyes? Take down, destroy, cut that one right down to size Or while you’re sleeping Well a quick one right between the knees You can beg or borrow Lie or hustle I just don’t believe you anymore Way out here Where the bombs still play O right before their lives are written across their backs They say: “Blessed are the blind, cause they never have to see Just how cruel and heartless it’s possible to be.” And now you’re found On a lonely street that’s way uptown Maybe more than you bargained for Less than your storybook told I caught the hole in the wall And when they banged on your door in the middle of the night Did you hide under covers? Did you wait for morning to make things right? Or is your solution One right between the eyes? Take down, destroy, cut that one right down to size? Or while you’re sleeping Just a quick one right between the knees? You can beg or borrow Lie or hustle I just don’t believe you anymore Way out here Where the bombs still play O right before their lives are written across their backs They say: “Blessed are the dumb, cause they never have to hear: Good morning to you sir, have a lovely day”

How many fools will it take to undermine The nasty webs that you’ve spun Your bindings made of lies Till they are gasping and red Not the least bit satisfied or sated? Cause the diamonds are few in the rough they call their lives And the misguided view Is the one that’s idolized Till they are choking and dead From the medicine we’ve all been taking Here comes disaster I won't even waste my time You call it honest I say you’ve lost your mind They said in 2012 The world was gonna end But an end just begins, remains and ends again Some say it’s faster When you see it in the sky Here comes disaster I won't even waste my time You call it honest I say you’ve lost your mind Will the day ever come When you look at what you’ve done At all the wreckage that you’ve wrought And the souls you sold and bought Are we the last ones who are gonna suffer your crimes? And after you’re dead And you travel all alone I hope the ones in the sky Will help you find a home But till then you’ve got to reckon With the fury of your untamed mind

Well you’re so filled Man, it should overflow Touched a bit by fortune Man, you better must obey Approaching now it comes your hour And you frown Bought for some cheap occasion on 8th Street When it dawned on you, you should leave Born under all the right signs But you missed the initiation Frightened you might get what you want Frightened more you’d buy it still Delaying all responsibilities Now you sleep alone You dance alone Sha la la la la la And now it’s been a month or three Don’t know my new number yet Best to get some from some friend Better still if you regret Slowly you may find That I’ve changed Knowing what you know Knowing what I know As you try to address it You try to destroy it You touch and you toy with it Over, under, never to begin again. And now that you’re the king of Troy With your castle and your legions and ministers Only waiting for the day When you make your man out of clay If you see me walking your way Do you turn around and run, run, away Find a clever turn of phrase Do you roll it off your skin?
